Figures for every variant

A range sold in three sizes usually publishes one weight, if any, and leaves the other two to inference. The NORDKAMM dry bags publish all three: 36 g at 5 litres, 50 g at 10, 57 g at 15. That is what lets a size be chosen properly rather than picked and hoped for. The liner does the equivalent within a single product, publishing a stated 360 g and a 9 by 22 cm packed size in an elastic four-way stretch mesh bag — describing the sack as well as the thing inside it.

Materials named, and named at length

The dry bag states a ROBIC performance nylon, given as 100 per cent recycled from a closed material loop, with sealed seams and a 10,000 mm water column. A named fabric, a seam treatment and a rating on one page is unusual on that shelf, and the buckle is specified by brand with a note on how its compound behaves in heat and cold. The liner states 100 per cent cotton outright, which several liners never do.

A design idea worth noticing

The liner is sold in a left-zip and a right-zip version so that two of them couple into one double. The listing says exactly which colour to order for which side, which is the kind of instruction that stops a pair of them arriving useless. At a stated 360 g it is the lighter of the two cotton liners here, and cotton against skin is the reason people choose one over a synthetic.

The mechanism left blank

On the dry bag, the closure is never named. There is a long argument about yarn strength and no statement of how the top shuts or how many rolls make the seal — and the seal is the entire function. No denier either, despite the fabric discussion, and the strength comparisons are ratios against unnamed standard fabrics, which cannot be checked against anything. On the liner, the zip side is published and the zip length is not, so how far it opens is unknown, and washable appears in the title with no method and no temperature anywhere in the bullets.
