The best tent repair kits for 2026

A repair kit is judged on whether its parts fit the tent in your bag. The pole splint is the clearest case: it is a short sleeve that must slide over your pole's outer diameter, so a kit built around 8.5 mm does nothing for an 11 mm pole. Measure the pole before you buy, not after it snaps. The tape is the second compatibility question and it catches more people.
