Only as far as the makers went. Both publish a 30 kg maximum and neither says how the load is spread across the top, which is the difference between a stove in the middle and a cool box on one corner. Both figures are printed by their sellers, so they stay here as printed and the decision stays with the maker.
It depends what small means to you. The ALPINEZ folds to 40 × 30 × 8 cm — a smaller footprint, thicker. The trail outdoor leisure table folds flat to 60 × 40 × 3 cm — full size, but slim enough to slide behind a seat. Both are published, and they suit different gaps in a boot.
The ALPINEZ height is set by fitting leg extensions — four long and four short pieces — rather than by a lever or a collar, so changing height means taking the legs apart. The maker explains that the short pieces are supplied nested in pairs, after buyers reported two as missing.
