What you are actually buying here

Read the third bullet before anything else. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps. A chest strap. A breathable back panel. Compression straps. That is a rucksack, described as one by its own maker, with a waterproof body and a roll-top instead of a lid.

This site covers what is packed and slept in, and it does not cover rucksacks — that boundary is set deliberately and is not bent for a product that arrives filed under a different word. The page is written because the product came back on the measurement of this shelf and calls itself a dry bag, and because pretending it is a stuff sack would be the more dishonest option.

It is also the heaviest bag here by a very long way — the other listing that publishes weights gives 36 to 57 grams for its three sizes. The comparison is not fair and it is not meant to be: one is a fabric sack, this is a carrying system with a waterproof body.

The submersion claim has nothing behind it

Wet conditions or brief submersion, and floating. Three claims, no standard, no ingress rating and no water column. The two listings here that give a water column both give 10,000 mm, and one of those states outright that it is not for submersion. A maker willing to publish the figure is also willing to publish its edge; a maker who publishes neither is asking to be taken at their word.

Before ordering

If you were looking for a stuff sack to go inside a pack, this is not it, and its 1,180 g says so more clearly than any of its bullets. If you were looking for a waterproof pack, that is a different purchase and a different site.
