EVOCAMP

Tabletop gas cooking, from the burner to the cartridge to the wind wall

A cooking corner rather than a single product

The EVOCAMP entries here form a set: a single-burner tabletop stove, screw-on gas cartridges, and a folding windshield offered in three panel counts. Buy the first and the other two are the reorders that follow it. That is unusual on this site, where most cooking names appear once and leave the consumables to somebody else.

The fitting is written down

Compatibility is the thing this brand gets right. The stove names the MSF-1a 227 g cartridge in its title and again in its bullets, so a replacement can be bought by name instead of by guess. The cartridge listing goes further and publishes a 7/16 in screw thread with an automatic shut-off, a stated 80 per cent butane to 20 per cent propane mix, and — rarely for that shelf — both a diameter of about 11.3 cm and a height of 14 cm. It even asks you to check your appliance holder against that width before ordering, which is a maker declining to sell you the wrong thing.

Where the numbers stop being numbers

The stove publishes a weight of 1.5 kg and never says what it is weighing: the burner alone, the burner in its case, or the burner with a cartridge in it. It publishes no output in watts, no boil time and no boil volume, so it cannot be set against the rated stoves elsewhere in that hub. The windshield is the sharper case. It gives a folded size and a weight for each of its three versions, six figures where most listings manage two, and never once says what the panels are made of. The only material named on that page is the polyester of the bag they travel in.

What that combination is worth

A brand that fixes the fitting and leaves the performance blank is a reasonable trade if you already know what you are cooking on. Order the cartridges against the valve name and the published width, order the shield against its folded size, and take the stove’s 1.5 kg as an unlabelled figure rather than a carried weight. Nothing here needs a photograph read for a dimension, which is more than most of that shelf can claim.

Every EVOCAMP product we have reviewed

  • EVOCAMP single-burner MSF-1a stove, 1.5 kg

    Single-burner gas stove · MSF-1a 227 g cartridges · integrated pressure regulator · 1.5 kg stated · piezo ignition · 4 cartridges and case

The most fully specified tabletop stove in this hub: it names the MSF-1a cartridge, states a pressure regulator and publishes a weight — three lines most of its neighbours leave blank. It publishes no output.

Best for: A camper who wants the cartridge standard named in writing before ordering, and a case to keep it in.

EVOCAMP parts and consumables

  • EVOCAMP set of four 450 g screw-on gas canisters with 7/16 in threads

EVOCAMP four 450 g screw-on canisters, 80 per cent butane and 20 per cent propane

The largest fill in this hub, and the only canister here that publishes both a diameter and a height — the pair that decides whether it stands under your appliance at all.

    Valve type
A 7/16 in screw thread with an automatic safety shut-off — stated, and called a Euro thread in the title. EN 417 is not named anywhere on the listing
    Net gas weight
450 g — stated as the net weight, with 809 ml given beside it
    Stated gas mix
80 per cent butane and 20 per cent propane — stated, and described by the maker as a universal mix for warm and cold conditions
    Canister diameter
About 11.3 cm — stated, and repeated in a second bullet with an instruction to check the holder of your appliance before buying
    Canister height
    14 cm — stated
    Empty weight
    Not published on the listing
    Resealable valve
Yes — the maker states the outlet valve closes as the canister is unscrewed so that no further gas escapes, and that one canister can therefore serve several appliances
    Amazon reference
B0C7GSHLPW (same reference on 4 Amazon marketplaces)
    EAN
    4260451869045
    • A diameter and a height, both published — no other canister in this hub gives the pair
    • The mix is written as proportions, 80 per cent butane to 20 per cent propane, not as a list of gases
    • 11.3 cm across is wide, and the maker itself asks you to check the appliance holder before ordering

Best for: A screw-thread appliance with room for a wide canister, where a long burn matters more than pack size.

  • EVOCAMP folding windshield standing around a camping stove, with its carry bag

EVOCAMP folding windshield in 10, 16 or 22 panels, with a polyester bag

Three sizes with a folded size and a weight published for each, and rods that press into the ground — on a listing that never once says what the panels themselves are made of.

    Stove types stated
Gas stoves, spirit stoves, camping stoves, grills and camp fireplaces — stated, with folding stoves and single- and twin-burner gas stoves named as suitable
    Panel height
Not published on the listing as a height — 24 cm is the first figure of all three folded sizes, and the maker never labels it as anything
    Total length
Not published on the listing — the maker gives 10, 16 and 22 panels and no open length for any of the three
    Material
Not published on the listing — polyester is named for the supplied bag, and the panels themselves are never given a material
    Thickness
    Not published on the listing
    Folded size
    24 x 8.3 x 2.3 cm with 10 panels, 24 x 8.3 x 2.6 cm with 16 and 24 x 8.3 x 3.6 cm with 22 — stated
    Stated weight
    280 g with 10 panels, 420 g with 16 and 560 g with 22 — stated
    Pegging points
Rods at the bottom of the shield that press into the ground — stated; no other shield in this hub describes ground anchoring built into the panels themselves
    Amazon reference
B0BTJC42HK (same reference on 5 Amazon marketplaces)
    EAN
    4260451867386
    • A folded size and a weight for each of the three versions: six published figures where most listings give two
    • Rods that press into the ground, stated as part of the shield rather than as something to buy
    • The panel material is never named — the only material on the listing is the polyester of the bag

Best for: A twin-burner or folding stove pitched on soft ground, where the shield has to stay where it is put.
