NORDMUT quick-inflating mat with foot pump, 10 cm review

A 925 g mat that publishes its thickness, its packed roll and its fabric, and never says how long or how wide it is.

The bottom line Well described on everything except where you lie on it. The 10 × 28 cm roll and the ripstop face are real advantages; the absent length and width are the reason to ask the seller before ordering.

What this listing puts on record

A thickness of 10 cm, an integrated foot pump with the mat ready in one minute, a packed size of 10 × 28 cm, a weight of 925 g, 40D ripstop nylon described as tear-, puncture- and abrasion-resistant, and a TPU coating making the mat water- and weather-resistant.

The smallest measured roll here

10 × 28 cm. Among the mats in this group that publish a packed size in centimetres, this is the tightest — 26 × 15 × 15 cm and 32 × 14 × 10 cm are its neighbours. For a mat with a pump built into it, that is a good result.

The two figures that are not there

Length and width. Nothing. The mats in this group run 190 to 200 cm long and 60 to 83 cm wide, and where this one sits in those ranges is not published.

That is the first thing to know about a sleeping mat, and the only listing here to omit both. Everything else — the 10 cm, the 925 g, the 10 × 28 cm roll, the fabric — is on the page.

Ripstop, at the same denier

40D ripstop rather than plain 40D. The reinforcing grid means a puncture stays a puncture instead of becoming a tear, which on a mat that spends its life on grit is the difference that shows up over seasons rather than nights.

The insulation question

No R-value, no standard. Ten centimetres of air is comfort, not warmth: air moves inside an uninsulated chamber, and nothing on this page describes what stops it.

Before ordering

Ask the seller for the inflated length and width. Without them the 10 cm and the 925 g describe a product you cannot check against yourself.

Availability

Selling between 48 € and 60 € across the German, French, Italian and Spanish Amazon stores when this page was checked.

It also sells on the British Amazon store in the local currency, which the range above does not cover — that range counts euro stores and nothing else.

Nothing came back from the American Amazon store, so the buy link there opens a local search instead of a page that is not there.

What it does well, and where it gives way

Strengths

  • Publishes a 10 × 28 cm packed size, the smallest measured roll among the foot-pump mats here
  • States 40D ripstop nylon rather than plain 40D nylon, and names the TPU coating that goes with it
  • Ten centimetres of thickness at 925 g, with an integrated pump and a one-minute inflation

Compromises

  • Neither the length nor the width is published anywhere, so whether the mat fits you cannot be established
  • No R-value and no standard, so nothing describes how it performs on cold ground
  • The 10 cm comes from the title rather than from a bullet, and no chamber structure is described to support it

What people ask before buying

What does ripstop add?

A grid of heavier threads woven into the fabric at intervals, so a tear stops at the next thread instead of running. On a mat that lives on grit and pine litter it is a meaningful upgrade over plain nylon at the same denier, and naming it is worth something.

How much does the missing length matter?

It is the first question about a mat. Mats in this group run from 190 to 200 cm, and the difference decides whether your feet are on the mat or on the ground. Nothing here answers it.
