A portable camping shower with a heater and a 6000 mAh rechargeable pump.
InkTrail states a kit containing a high-pressure water pump, an immersion heater,
a shower head with two output modes and a STOP knob, and a handheld spray gun; a
1500 W immersion heater run from a wall plug or a power generator, which must be
completely submerged before being plugged in and unplugged before removal, and
which “may overheat and burn in a matter of seconds if left exposed in air while
turned on”; a kit weighing under 2 lb with a 6.7 ft hose, a head mount with hook
and suction cup, a USB Type-C cable and a mesh bag; up to 1 gallon/min (4 L/min)
with a low mode for extended battery life and four suction cups on an
industrial-grade base; an upgraded 6000 mAh battery giving up to 2.5 hours on low
and 2 hours on high, with a silicone waterproof cover on the port; and a smart
LED display showing battery, mode and water temperature in Fahrenheit.
No IP rating. No container. No cut-off temperature.
Two and a half hours, and a gallon a minute
The only pair of figures on this shelf.
This shelf’s introduction says a stated run time per charge is worth hunting for on
a 12 V shower. Three other showers in this group carry the same 6000 mAh pack and
none says what it buys.
Read the two together: a gallon a minute empties a five-gallon bucket in about
five minutes, so two hours of motor time is many more washes than one bucket of
water. The constraint is the bucket, not the battery.
A STOP knob
Two of the five showers here have one.
This shelf’s introduction calls an on-off at the head the single feature that makes
a small tank last a whole wash.
On a pump this does something a gravity bag cannot: the motor keeps running while
the water is stopped, so the flow is instant again and nothing has to be
restarted mid-soap.
Fifteen hundred watts, at a campsite
The complication, and the listing says so itself.
Submerge completely before plugging in. Unplug before removing from the water.
And: it may overheat and burn in a matter of seconds if left exposed in air while
turned on.
No automatic cut-off is published. One rival in this group states a shutoff at
about 160 °F; another states sensing from 32 to 140 °F. Three listings, three
different statements about the same kind of part.
A wall socket or a generator is also needed, and this shelf’s introduction describes
three shower types — gravity bag, pump bottle, 12 V pump — none of which involves
mains power.
Six point seven feet of hose
Published, and the only one here.
This shelf’s introduction makes the hose length the figure that sets where the head
can reach and whether it can hang above you. Two meters from a bucket on the
ground is head height with the mount on a tent pole or a car door.
InkTrail’s instructions carry the heater and the charging. Nothing here replaces
them, and nothing on this page describes any product as safe.
